The Best Restaurants in Paros: Cafes, Taverna Lunches, and Sunset Harbor Drinks

Paros is the kind of island where you accidentally have great meals all day long. Coffee in the morning, a long lunch after the beach, and then dinner that turns into drinks in Naoussa.

Nothing feels rushed — and that’s kind of the point. You’re not hopping from reservation to reservation or trying to hit a checklist. Instead, your day naturally builds around where you eat — a slow start at a café, a beach that turns into lunch, and evenings that stretch way longer than you planned.

What I loved most about Paros is how balanced it feels. You get the buzzy harbor energy in Naoussa, but also more laid-back, local spots in Parikia and along the beaches. It’s a mix of classic Greek tavernas, a few trendier dinner spots, and just enough variety to keep things interesting — which makes narrowing down the best restaurants in Paros a lot harder than you’d expect.

If you’re planning your trip, here’s exactly where to eat in Paros — organized by vibe so you can easily map it into your days.

How Dining Works in Paros & What to Expect

We found Paros to have one of the most balanced restaurant scenes in the Cyclades. It’s more elevated than Milos in certain pockets (especially around the Naoussa harbor), but still relaxed and approachable overall.

Most seaside taverns are family-run, menus focus heavily on fresh seafood and seasonal ingredients, and meals unfold at a slower, more social pace. Paros dining isn’t rushed — it’s layered into your day.

One thing to keep in mind – reservations matter more here than in Milos, especially in peak summer.

The Vibe of Each Area

Because Paros has distinct pockets, each area completely changes the energy of the night.

Naoussa

This area is known for stylish harbor dining, cocktail bars, and buzzy evenings. This is where you’ll want dinner reservations and sunset drinks. It’s polished but still laid-back, with some of the most concentrated food and nightlife scene on the island.

Perfect for:

Parikia

As the main ferry port, Parikia has the most variety overall. You’ll find a bit of a quieter vibe then Naoussa, but still plenty of beautiful ocean-front dining options filled with charm.

Here you can grab a bite at the many cafés, bakeries, casual tavernas, and sunset spots along the waterfront promenade. It’s a great place for relaxed dinners, easy walk-ins, and slower-paced evenings.

Perfect for:

Kolymbithres & Surrounding Beaches

You’re classic seaside taverna energy. Think long lunches after swimming, chilled white wine, and a more relaxed energy.

This area is home to spots like Mario Restaurant and Taverna Vigla, both offering scenic, waterfront dining with that quintessential “table near the water” Greek island feel.

The Best Restaurants in Paros

Quick Bites & Casual Eats

Almond (Naoussa)

Almond is one of the best breakfast and coffee stops in Naoussa, but it’s also open for lunch & dinner. It’s bright, modern, and slightly trendier than your traditional café – very bohemian, and great for a healthy breakfast.

We stopped here often for a quick smoothie to-go before heading to the beach, but the sit-down breakfast options looked incredible, too.

Tserki (Naoussa & Parikia)

If you want pastries and coffee done right, this is your stop. Tserki is the perfect quick grab-and-go breakfast – get one of their many incredible pastries & baked goods for the road, with a classic freddo cappuccino (the Greek iced coffee you’ll be addicted to by the end of your trip!).

Our airbnb was right across the street from Tserki in Naoussa, and there wasn’t a morning on our trip that we missed our freddo cappuccinos here – it’s a must stop.

Souvlaki Kargas (Naoussa)

An absolute must stop on any Paros trip. It’s a casual, no reservation stop for quick, affordable gyros – exactly what you want when you don’t feel like a long dinner.

We sat on cute tables on the streets of Naoussa, and ordered two pork gyros, plus the grilled halloumi. And WOW. This was by far both of our favorite gyros we had all trip. I literally almost cried at how amazing it was…you cannot miss it! Maybe one of the best restaurants in Paros!

Symposium Cafe (Parikia)

A charming, casual lunch option in Parikia, perfect for a light & refreshing lunch on the patio. But, it’s really known for the multiple resident cats who couldn’t be more excited to join you in your meal.

Get an Aperol spritz (always a must while in Greece) and the classic Greek salad! Their patio is the perfect place to people watch while you make friends with the kitties. We had a little cutie jump up on the empty seat at our table and sit with us for our whole meal!

Seaside Taverns with a View

Taverna Vigla (Kolymbithres)

A beautiful seaside setting with panoramic views and classic Greek dishes. It feels slightly more tucked away and peaceful — perfect if you want a scenic lunch or dinner with a quieter atmosphere.

Mario Restaurant (Kolymbithres)

Right on Kolymbithres Beach, Mario is the quintessential post-swim taverna. Grilled fish, Greek salad, tzatziki, and chilled white wine just steps from the water.

Lunch here is meant to be long.

Elevated Dining

Sigi Ikthios (Naoussa)

A standout harbor-front dinner in Naoussa. It’s a fantastic Greek restaurant right on the water in Naoussa. We had the most incredible meal there – definitely one of our favorites on our entire trip! It’s much more reasonably priced compared to the insta-famous spot Barbarossa.

The octopus is a must order – we may have had octopus 10 times on this trip, but this one was by far our favorite. Super tender & melt in your mouth. And split the fish of the day, which is normally your choice between seabass and seabream. Lemony & fresh!

They don’t take online reservations, so make sure to put your name down on the list early in the day. We did when we got back from the villages, and they already had tons of names ahead of us. The guy working the list did us a HUGE favor, and was still able to secure us a table, though :).

Barbarossa (Naoussa)

One of the most iconic harbor restaurants in Naoussa. Polished, lively, and ideal for a celebratory dinner with prime waterfront seating. This is definitely the most expensive restaurant on the harbor, but also the one you’ve probably seen all over instagram (where it turns into a party, filled with dancing and napkin waving!).

We’ve heard from friends that the “party” part only happens once an evening, and otherwise, is just the same vibe as the other restaurants on the harbor, so if you’re looking to save a bit, skip this one.

Luaz (Naoussa)

Luaz is one of the more modern, design-forward dining spots in Naoussa — and a great option when you want something that feels a little trendier than a traditional taverna, while being right on the water.

The food leans Mediterranean with a slightly more curated presentation, and the space itself has that elevated, styled feel that makes it perfect for a longer, more intentional dinner.

What sets Luaz apart is the energy — it naturally builds as the night goes on. It starts as dinner, but it can easily turn into drinks without needing to change locations, making it a great in-between before heading out to bars like Sante or Linardo.

Basilikos Restaurant (Parikia)

For a more traditional Greek dinner in Parikia that still feels elevated, Basilikos is a great option. Set in a charming garden-style space, it has a quieter, more intimate atmosphere compared to the harbor restaurants in Naoussa.

The menu leans classic Greek — fresh seafood, local dishes, and simple ingredients done really well — but with a slightly more polished presentation. It’s the kind of place that feels a bit more relaxed and tucked away, making it perfect if you want a slower, more intimate dinner without the buzz of Naoussa.

The Little Green Rocket

If you’re craving a break from Greek food, Little Green Rocket is the move. This is one of the go-to sushi spots on Paros, with a more modern, slightly trendier feel compared to the island’s traditional tavernas.

The menu leans into fresh rolls and lighter dishes, making it a great reset after a few days of seafood, salads, and mezze. It’s still lively but still relaxed — perfect for an easy dinner that feels a little different from the typical Paros lineup.

Drinks & Nightlife

Come Back Bar (Naoussa)

If you do one thing in Naoussa, make it this. Come Back Bar is the golden hour spot — right on the harbor with front-row views of the boats and sunset. The energy is lively but still relaxed, making it the perfect first stop of the night.

It’s perfect for grabbing a spritz before dinner to watch the sun start to set. To grab a seat, make sure you arrive 30-45 minutes before sunset for a prime waterfront seat!

Sante Cocktail Bar (Naoussa)

Sante is where things start to pick up after dinner. It’s a lively cocktail bar built into the streets of Naoussa. It’s more cocktail-forward with a slightly more energetic, social vibe.

The muusic is louder, the crowd starts to build, and it feels like the transition point between a relaxed evening and a night out – where you can still sit at a table and chit chat with your group before either moving on to the next spot, or heading home for the night.

Linardo (Naoussa)

Linardo is one of the main nightlife spots in Paros — especially if you’re looking for the kind of Naoussa night that starts with drinks and gradually turns into dancing. Set right by the water in the middle of Naoussa’s bar scene, it has more of a true club energy than some of the harbor cocktail bars, with DJs, a late-night crowd, and a reputation for staying lively well into the night.

It’s a great pick if you want your night to keep going after dinner, rather than ending with just one last drink. Compared with some of the more laid-back cocktail spots in town, Linardo is the spot for a full nightlife experience.

Voulez Vous (Naoussa)

Voulez Vous brings high-energy, party-style nightlife right into the heart of Naoussa. It’s a rooftop location that faces out to the harbor and the restaurants below (right above Sigi Ikthios). It does get crowded and loud, but is so fun.

Pirate Bar (Parikia)

Tucked into Parikia’s old town, Pirate Bar has a cozy, slightly bohemian vibe and is perfect for easy evening drinks. It’s smaller, cozier, and a bit more laid-back than Naoussa’s nightlife scene.

It’s perfect for a relaxed night when you don’t need a full club scene.
