If you’re like me, you typically stay away from all-inclusive resorts with their reputation, but for my birthday this year, all I wanted to do was sit on a beach & sip a margarita. With Cabo being such a close flight from LA, it was the perfect destination. Crystal clear beaches, white sand, and tons of well-priced all-inclusive hotels to choose from. After much research, we settled on the Marquis Los Cabo, a luxury all-inclusive, with every single room facing the ocean – just dreamy.
The resort checked all of our boxes – a beautiful pool, steps from the ocean, adults-only and multiple restaurants to choose from. And..did I mention, the entire property is just stunning?!
We absolutely loved our entire time here! Book your room HERE, and get ready for an incredible trip.

Location
Marquis Los Cabos is located on the Northeast side of Cabo, about 30-minutes from the Downtown Cabo San Lucas area. Staying a bit away from Downtown, with the crazy nightlife & partying, is just what we wanted. This area is more resorty, with hotels that feel more private and spacious. It is the perfect area to be when you don’t want to be surrounded by the heavy party vibe the Downtown offers.
How To Get There
Coming from LA, Cabo is just a quick 2-hour flight away, which makes the trip so smooth & easy. With many direct flights each day, finding something that works for your flight dates is a breeze.
From the airport, Marquis Los Cabo is only a 30-minute drive. We chose to book a shuttle service directly to the airport, which I recommend doing. But take a quick stop at the airport bar outside before get going!

Ambiance
From the moment you pull up to Marquis Los Cabo, you’ll be blown away. The open-air lobby with a huge archway showcasing the ocean is just chef’s kiss. We felt like we arrived in paradise. The entire resort is drenched in white stone, with beautiful art pieces – it feels extremely luxurious. I couldn’t imagine a more stunning hotel.

Amenities
The pools at Marquis Los Cabo!!!! WOW. One of the main reasons we went on this trip was to spend our days lounging at the pool, and this resort did not disappoint. There are 3x different pools to choose from – one center pool used for games throughout the day, and two identical pools flanking the left and the right.
With the multiple pool options, we never felt the pool was super packed. Definitely get down as early as you can, though, to get a good chair.
A waiter will come over to you once bar service begins at 9AM, and you’ll be able to order all of your drinks through him/her, as well as some pool snacks! The margaritas will flow all day, as you take in the incredible views!

The pool is right above the beach, which you can stroll along, though you cannot swim right here. The currents are way too strong. If you want to get in the ocean, you can walk a bit further down the beach to the Hilton, where they have a swimming cove. The water is still pretty rough over there, but was nice to get in the ocean for a bit! Just head right off the Marquis property, and you’ll follow the path right to the swimming cove.

The property also has a spa, for an additional charge, though we ended up not getting any treatments this trip. But, on the walk to the swimming cove, there’s also a local set up nestled right against the beach where you can get a massage for only $40, listening to the sound of the waves – how peaceful?!
Activities
The resort hosted activities each day that were a nice touch – ranging from basketball competitions, ping pong, pool volleyball games (too fun, and a great way to meet people), and even tequila & wine tastings. There’s always something going on each day if you want to take a break from the relaxation of the pool!

The last night we had in Cabo, we also chose to go on a sunset cruise – this is a MUST DO! We wanted to see the famous Arch Rock, and I can’t resist a sunset boat ride. We booked this through Viator (HERE) for $106 per person. This includes the 2-hour cruise, plus an open bar.
It was definitely one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had. We lucked out with an incredible sunset that night, and we were just in awe the entire time. And, they had a professional photographer on board, where you can pick & pay for a few of your favorites after!

And, don’t forget to check out shows the hotel puts on at night! Our first night at the hotel, they hosted a fire night, which was an incredible fire show with amazing performers, and we also caught the Mexican night, which was super fun with a mariachi band.
Staff
I cannot say more great things about the staff at Marquis Los Cabo – they were so thoughtful and really made the trip go the extra mile. We ended up making friends with most of activity staff – they were so fun. And, all of our waiters & waitresses were all very professional and accommodating.

Restaurants & Bars
With an all-inclusive, I never have the highest hopes for the food – but Marquis Los Cabo exceeded my expectations!
For breakfast, you can choose to eat downstairs at the buffet-style breakfast restaurant where you can order a-la-carte, as well. They have a ton of different juices & fresh fruit to choose from, which I loved to have each morning. You can’t go wrong with the chilaquiles, too! There were even a morning or two where we chose to order in and enjoy the breakfast on the balcony.
For dinner and lunch, you can choose between 4 different restaurants – Mexican, Japanese & Italian, which is included in the all-inclusive, or the French restaurant, which charges extra. Some nights, when there’s an event, they’ll also offer a buffet where you can grab food & enjoy the show.
The Italian restaurant was a favorite of ours, but be prepared for a slight wait for a table. We also had fun at the Japanese restaurant, though we weren’t amazed by the food.
When your by the pool during the day, they allow you to order off a huge menu of ceviches – there’s 7x in total, and I think we tried them all by the end of our trip. It’s the perfect snack to have poolside, and some of the freshest seafood I had all trip. You can also order tacos, guacamole, and tacos!
And, room service is 24/7 here, which is such a bonus. There were a few nights we had order some quesadillas and fries for a bit of late-night snacking.

Room
We booked the Junior Oceanfront room, and it was just lovely. When we first arrived, we were welcomed in the room with a bottle of champagne & some fresh fruit – such a lovely touch!
The room was extremely spacious, with a balcony where we spent many mornings eating our breakfast admiring the views, a large seating area, a king-sized bed, and a huge bathroom. Not only was the shower nice & big, but there’s also a jetted tub with the option of pulling the curtains down to take in the view from your balcony.
The bathroom was also filled up with stocked with L’Occitane toiletries, and there’s also bathrobes & slippers provided – great for a lazy morning & lounging around.
And you’ll have a fully stocked mini fridge, filled with mini Coronas, sodas & a few snacks. They will refill this each day, so you’ll always be stocked up, but you can also call room service if you need anything else!
One of the cutest little touches they had was a secret cubby by the door, where the staff delivers coffee & pastries every morning. The staff drops this off, without access to your room, so each morning you can walk over and receive when you wake up. How adorable?

Pricing
The rooms at Marquis Los Cabos range from $600 to $2000 a night, with the more expensive options being the casitas on property. There’s 209 suites & 24 casitas in total.
Going in August, we were able to get a bit better of deal, because this is technically hurricane season in Cabo. But, always look for deals online – they even offer 20% off when you book in advance!
With everything included and the overall vibe of the property, I think the price of the rooms are pretty reasonable, especially split between two people. Most rooms allow 3x people, as well, if you plan to go with friends!
