The 6 Best Spas in Valle de Guadalupe: From Luxury Resorts to Airbnb Massages

When you think of Valle de Guadalupe, you probably think about wine first. And while you should absolutely spend plenty of time winery hopping, eating long lunches and drinking your way through the valley, there is another side of Valle that is very worth working into your trip: the spas.

Valle has quietly become a really good wellness destination, with everything from luxury resort spas and couples massages to full wellness experiences surrounded by the vineyards.

And honestly, after a full day of wine tasting, sleeping in and getting a massage before heading back out for a long lunch sounds pretty perfect.

If you want to add a little relaxation to your trip, these are the best spas in Valle de Guadalupe to check out.

Quick Deets: Best Spas in Valle de Guadalupe

The 6 Best Spas in Valle De Guadalupe

Banyan Tree Veya Spa

BEST FOR: The Full Luxury Experience

If you’re looking for the nicest spas in Valle de Guadalupe, Banyan Tree Veya is probably where I would start.

Banyan Tree opened its Valle property as a full wellness-focused resort, so the spa isn’t just an extra amenity tucked inside the hotel. Wellness is a huge part of the entire experience.

The spa incorporates both Asian wellness traditions and ingredients inspired by Baja, with treatments ranging from Balinese and Thai massages to Ayurvedic treatments, Tui Na and more traditional body therapies.

There is also a sauna, Temazcal, movement room, yoga, fitness center and other wellness experiences throughout the property, making this the place I would choose if the spa itself was going to be one of the main events of the day.

And the setting definitely helps. The entire resort sits up in the hills overlooking Valle, so this feels much more like escaping to a wellness retreat than just stopping somewhere for a massage.

It is also one of the more expensive options in Valle, but if you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary or just want to splurge on one really nice experience, this would be my pick.

Samsara Spa at Contemplación

BEST FOR: A Classic Valle Spa Day

Samsara Spa is located at Contemplación Resort and is probably one of the easiest spas to work into a regular Valle itinerary.

This is less of a giant luxury wellness resort and more of the relaxing spa afternoon you probably have in mind when you start searching for spas in Valle de Guadalupe.

They offer both individual and couples massages, with options including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, lymphatic, therapeutic and relaxing massages in either 50 or 80-minute sessions.

There are also more involved spa rituals that combine things like massage, aromatherapy, sound therapy, hot stones, meditation and small bites or drinks.

I particularly like this option if you want the spa experience without dedicating your entire day to wellness. Book a massage in the morning or early afternoon, relax for a little while and then head out for a late lunch or winery afterward.

The property itself is also beautiful, with mountain views and a quiet setting that feels very Valle.

Montevalle Resort & Spa

BEST FOR: A Full Wellness Day

Montevalle is the option I would choose if you want to make wellness the actual activity for the day rather than just booking a massage between wineries.

The entire property is centered around wellness, with a spa and wellness center, pool, jacuzzi, meditation labyrinth, reflexology pathway and several different treatment programs.

They offer massages including Swedish, Thai, lymphatic drainage, sports massage, reflexology and even wine therapy.

But what makes Montevalle different from most of the other spas in Valle de Guadalupe is that you can actually book a one-day wellness package without staying at the hotel.

The current one-day package is $220 per person and includes your choice of massage plus access to the property’s amenities.

So yes, it is more of a commitment than popping in somewhere for a 50-minute massage, but if you’re doing a three or four-day Valle trip and want one day that isn’t centered around wine tasting, this could be really fun.

There are also more extensive wellness packages available for hotel guests.

Luna de Sol

BEST FOR: A Relaxing Spa Stop

Located inside Hotel Boutique Valle de Guadalupe, Luna de Sol is another good option if you want to add a spa treatment without turning your entire day into a wellness retreat.

The spa has a sauna and jacuzzi along with its treatment spaces, and there is also a yoga component to the property.

Hotel Boutique Valle de Guadalupe is centrally located in the valley, which makes this particularly easy to pair with the rest of your plans. You could do a massage here in the morning and still have plenty of time for lunch and a couple of wineries afterward.

I wouldn’t necessarily plan an entire trip around this spa, but for a girls’ weekend or a longer Valle trip where everyone is ready for a break from wine tasting, it is an easy one to add.

Sereno Valle Massage

BEST FOR: Combining Wine + Spa

Sereno Valle Massage is a great option for a more traditional spa experience in Valle, with everything from relaxing massages and facials to couples treatments and group spa packages.

They offer several different massage styles, including relaxing, deep tissue and hot stone treatments, along with facials and packages designed for couples. They also have Spa Party packages for groups, making this a fun option for a girls’ trip, birthday or bachelorette weekend.

Their spa is located at Entrevalle Hotel Boutique, so you can book a treatment even if you’re not staying at one of Valle’s larger luxury resorts.

And if you’d rather stay put, they also offer mobile services throughout Valle!

Mobile Spas & Airbnb Massages in Valle de Guadalupe

You don’t necessarily have to stay at a resort — or even leave your Airbnb — to experience spas in Valle de Guadalupe.

Mobile spas are really popular in Valle de Guadalupe, and honestly, they make so much sense here. There are tons of beautiful Airbnbs, villas and private homes throughout the valley, and local massage companies will bring the entire experience directly to you, including the massage tables and everything needed for your treatments.

Depending on the company, you can book anything from a traditional relaxing or deep tissue massage to facials, couples massages and full group spa experiences.

This is an especially good option for a girls’ trip, birthday or bachelorette. Instead of coordinating transportation for everyone to a resort, you can book a few therapists, order breakfast to the house and basically turn your Airbnb into your own little spa for the morning.

When booking, send the company the location of your Airbnb or hotel, number of people, treatments you’re interested in and preferred time. For larger groups, I would book well in advance since they may need to coordinate multiple therapists.

Valle Mobile Spa

Valle Mobile Spa is run by the same team as Ensenada Massage and offers mobile massages throughout Valle de Guadalupe. They’ll come directly to your Airbnb, villa or hotel with heated massage tables, linens, aromatherapy and everything else needed for your treatments.

You can book 60, 90 or 120-minute massages, with options including deep tissue, hot stones, exfoliation, facials and even four-hand massages.

This is also a great option for groups since they can coordinate multiple therapists at the same time, so you don’t have to spend half the day rotating everyone through appointments.

One thing to know: Some hotels and resorts with their own spas don’t allow outside massage therapists, so confirm with your property before booking.

Resort Spa or Mobile Massage: Which Should You Choose?

If you want the full spa experience — sauna, pools, wellness facilities and a few hours to completely relax — book one of the resort spas in Valle de Guadalupe.

If you mostly want a really good massage and you’re already staying somewhere beautiful, have the spa come to you.

For a group trip, I would seriously consider the mobile option. Don’t leave the Airbnb until it’s time for your first winery? Sounds like a pretty perfect Valle morning to me.

Are the Spas in Valle de Guadalupe Worth It?

If you’re only visiting Valle for one night, I would probably spend your limited time exploring the wineries and restaurants.

But if you have two or three full days, I think adding a spa treatment is absolutely worth it. Valle is already meant to be enjoyed slowly, and taking a few hours away from running between reservations fits the whole vibe of the valley perfectly.

And after a full day of wine tasting? A massage the next morning always sounds pretty great.
